Nepal’s name removed from UK’s red list

London: The UK government has removed the name of Nepal from its red list which was in place following Covid-19.

The government of the UK has removed the names of at least 47 countries including Nepal. This was stated in a notice issued Thursday, saying that the provision will come into effect from October 11.

With the removal of Nepal from the red list of UK, passengers returning to England from Nepal will not be obliged to stay in hotel quarantine.

Similarly, the inoculated travellers will receive the same treatment as fully vaccinated UK residents returning in so far as they have not travelled to any country red-listed by the UK in the last 10 days before returning to the UK.

The UK notice also stated that the Covid-19 vaccines such as Oxford-AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, and Janssen, and Janssen will be recognized from those 37 countries. Nepali travellers should submit their vaccination proofs.
