Yeti Airlines gets AOC for international flights
Kathmandu. Yeti Airlines, a privately owned airline in Nepal, has obtained International Air Operator Certificate (AOC).
The company said it received permission for international flights from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal on Thursday.
Yeti Airlines got the AOC of international flights so that it can operate unscheduled and chartered flights. With the acquisition of AOC, the company is now ready to fly to South Asian and Southeast Asian countries, said spokesperson Sudarshan Bartaula.
“We are now ready for international flights as well,” he said, adding that the company now has 72 ATR aircraft. These ships are capable of flying to short-haul international destinations.
With the acquisition of AOC, the number of airlines seeking international flights from Nepal has reached five. Nepal Airlines, Himalayan Airlines, Buddha Air, and Shree Airlines already have acquired AOC.
