9 students injured in Mustang Avalanche
Kathmandu: At least nine students studying at a local school in the Mustang district in the Kowang area have been injured in an avalanche that hit the school zone on Sunday.
According to the school teacher Prakash Subedi, who witnessed the incident said, the nine school students were injured, while they were running in panic after the area saw the biggest avalanche.
He also informed that the local authorities are preparing to bring the injured students to the district headquarters-Jomson for medications.
It is said that the ice shrapnel hit the students while fleeing, so they were injured. The Mustang-based district administration authorities divulged that the avalanche had fallen from Tukuche Peak (Manapthi Himal) between 11 am to 12 pm Sunday.
