9 countries’ people banned to prevent Omicron
Kathmandu: Nepal government in a bid to avert the impending risk of the spreading Omicron variant around the world has banned the entry of people from at least nine countries with immediate effect from Thursday night.
The banned nine countries are mostly from the African continent, where the lethal contagion was detected in October month.
People from African countries such as South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Malawi, including HongKong are banned.
Meanwhile, the government has decided not to allow visas on arrival at the airport for people arriving from these banned countries.
