126,000 tourists visited Nepal in 2021
Kathmandu: At least 126,000 foreign tourists have visited Nepal in the last 11 months of 2021, as the cases of Covid-19 declined in the country and Nepal government-issued visa on arrival since the last week of September.
The tourist arrival data revealed by Nepal Tourism Board indicated that more than 126,000 tourists arrived in Nepal of which 26,487 tourists had arrived in November only.
In the last October, the number of tourists arriving in Nepal was recorded at 26,135 which was comparatively higher than that of September month.
Meanwhile, the fear of a new variant of Covid-19 that is believed to have originated in South Africa in October and spreading around the globe rapidly has discouraged many potential tourists to execute their travel schedules.
