Chimkeshwari cable car coming up soon

Damauli. A cable car is to be built at Chimkeshwari, the highest hill in Tanahu.
Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism Limited, which is constructing infrastructure including cable cars in Bandipur without being a tourist destination, is going to set up the cable car in Chimkeshwari as the second project.
Chimkeshwari is located at an altitude of 2,134 meters above sea level. Chairman of the Limited Ram Chandra Sharma informed that the cable car is being constructed with the objective of making Chimkeshwari a hub of religious tourism.
“The construction of the cable car will further support the development of Chimkeshwari,” he said. The cost of the Chimkeshwari cable car project is estimated to be Rs. over 10 billion.
The project also aims to build a resort in Chimkeshwari. The 3,600-meter-long cable car has the capacity to carry 10,000 passengers daily, said Sharma.
The other tourism infrastructures such as homestays for the tourists are also being managed.
Especially on the occasion of the New Year and Holi festival, devotees from different districts reach the destination of Chimkeshwari.
Chimkeshwari can be reached by jeep journey and then on foot on the 15 km unpaved road from Aanbukhaireni on the Prithvi Highway to Labdi.
Mountains such as Api, Saipal, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, Buddha, Machhapuchhre, and others can be observed from Chimkeshwari.
