Snowfall to occur from Friday

Kathmandu: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology says snowfall is expected to occur from Friday owing to the western low pressure system.

This slight changes in the weather conditions will cause a partial to normal cloud cover in the far west, Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki provinces.

There may be light snowfall in sporadic places in the high hills of the far west, Karnali and Gandaki provinces.

Likewise, light rain is also expected occur in some parts of the far west. The temperature is most likely to drop.

The department has cautioned the people to avoid the cold and snowfall as it may adversely affect the daily life of the people including mountaineering and air transport.
