Westerly wind to impact flight and mountaineering services

Kathmandu: The rising impact of westerly wind in different parts of the country is most likely to adversely impact the services of flights and mountaineering from tonight according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

The westerly wind with its rising impact may cause light rainfall, snowfall, and even thunder and lightning in high hills which may negatively affect daily human activities said the department circulation.

The Department further said that the westerly wind may impact the weather of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, Gandaki provinces, and high Himali regions. The Terai region may also witness light rainfall, thunder, and lightning.

The people have been cautioned to adopt necessary precautionary measures to prevent any unavoidable mishap triggered by the weather change in the upcoming days.
