Domestic airfare discount for foreigners too

Kathmandu: All domestic tourists as well as foreigners, will be provided an equal discount on airfare on domestic airlines.

An agreement has been reached among the Tourism Revitalization Committee, Buddha Airlines Pvt Ltd, and Yeti Airlines to this effect in Nepal so as to attract more external tourists.

Earlier, the foreign tourists using Nepal’s domestic airlines had been paying the exorbitant airfares as compared to the domestic tourists, which had indirectly impacted the domestic airlines.

Similarly, the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN)  in a  bid to revitalize the ailing tourism sector has also decided to provide a discount of up to 20 percent on hotel rooms for foreigners.

It is said that other private airlines companies will also be approached with the same proposal to provide discounts to the foreigners in domestic fights.
