Over 42,000 foreign tourists arrived in March 

Kathmandu: In March 2022, more than 42,000 foreign tourists visited Nepal. According to the data provided by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) quoting the Immigration Department, a total of 42,006 tourists entered Nepal by air in March.

Last year, in March 2021, 14977 tourists had come to Nepal. March is the second year of tourist arrivals after the Covid-19 epidemic. Foreign tourist arrivals have been steadily increasing since the beginning of this year.

In January 2022, 16975 and in February 19766 foreign tourists entered Nepal. Due to the mountaineering season in Nepal, the number of foreign tourists has also increased. A significant number of foreigners come to Nepal for spring mountaineering.
