Kathmandu: The month of April 2022 witnessed the arrival of 58,348 foreign tourists in Nepal as compared to the same month last year which was just 22, 450 in number.
The recent tourist arrival trend has increased by 159.9 percent in April 2022, as the situation of Covid-19 cases continues to dwindle in the country.
Similarly, a total of 109 399 tourists visited Nepal in April 2019. Of all the tourists who arrived in April comprised 42% were from SAARC countries including 22,477 Indian tourists, 1,537 from Bangladesh, 244 from Sri Lanka, 204 from Pakistan, and 86 from Bhutan.
