Kami Rita scales Mt Everest 26times
Kathmandu: The veteran, as well as legendary mountaineer Kami Rita Sherpa, has scaled Mt Everest 26 times this season.
Kami Rita, 52 years old climber has broken his own world record for climbing the highest peak of the world 25 times.
Sherpa had started his career as a mountaineer in 1994. He had reached the Everest summit at around 6:55 pm Saturday.
He was part of the rope-fixing team consisting of 10 climbers including Sona Sherpa, Ngima Tashi Sherpa, Phurba Tsering Sherpa, Tenjing Gyaljen Sherpa, Lakpa Tenji Sherpa, Phurba Kusang Sherpa, Mingma Dandhu Sherpa, Pastenji Sherpa, Tareman Tamang, and Phurba Chhotar.
Kami has a history of climbing Cho Oyu eight times, Manaslu thrice and K2, and Lhotse once.
