Shuttle buses arranged for tourists on May 13
Kathmandu: Shuttle buses have been arranged for the convenience of tourists on the May 13,(local election day) to move from the airport to hotels in Kathmandu
According to Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), the shuttle buses will be operated within the Kathmandu valley to look into the convenience of the tourists arriving in Nepal on the day of the election when the private vehicles are prohibited to ply the roads.
NTB in coordination with the Tourist Bus Association of Nepal and the Nepal Tourist Vehicle Association, and the Tourist Police, will operate shuttle buses on various routes from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) to various hotels in Kathmandu on May 13.
The shuttle buses will ferry the tourists from the Kathmandu airport to Hotel Annapurna, Hotel Yak & Yeti, Thamel Chowk, Lainchaur Chowk, Shankar Hotel, and back to the airport on Route 1. Similarly, in route 2, the shuttle bus will be operated from the airport to Hotel Radisson, Hotel Shangri La, Narayan Gopal Chowk, Maharajgunj Chowk, Hyatt Hotel, Chahabila and back to the airport.
Similarly, the bus on route 3 will ferry tourists from the airport to Tinkune Chowk, Hotel Everest, Maitighar Chowk, Hotel Himalaya, Hotel Soaltee, and Grand Hotel. The tourists have to just pay Rs 300 as the charges for the bus facility.
