Pop singer Raju Lama summits Mt Everest
Kathmandu: Nepali pop singer Raju Lama summited Mt Everest on Monday morning.
According to his expedition organizer-Imagine Nepal-, Lama reached the Everest top along with 26 other climbers at around 6:40 am.
Lama’s accompanying colleagues included climbers from China, Pakistan, Russia, and Australia.
Lama says, he is doing all this to convey the message of climate change and the need to raise awareness against the adversity wrought by climate change in and around the world.
It may be recalled that singer Lama had accomplished a solo concert at camp 3 elevated at an altitude of 6574 meters recently.
Pramod Shrestha summits Everest to spread the message against child marriage
Meanwhile, another climber Pramod Shrestha is reported to have scaled Mt Everest on May 15, 2022. Shrestha “Goofy”, the only Royal Enfield Veteran Solo Rider of Nepal, has successfully climbed the highest peak in the world (8848.86 meters) to spread the message against child marriage.
He reached atop Everest along with other climbers from 10 countries.
