Cathay Pacific will fly Hong Kong-Kathmandu from October 1

Cathay has planned to operate one flight a week from next October (October 1st). For this, it has taken permission from Nepal Civil Aviation Authority. Currently, Cathay is flying cargo between Hong Kong and Kathmandu.
According to Junu Maleku, Cathay’s head of sales, the route will be operated by the ‘A330-300’ series of aircraft.
He said that the Kathmandu flight will make it easier for Nepalese and foreign travelers in Nepal to reach destinations such as America, Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan, and other destinations from Kathmandu via Hong Kong.
Cathay stopped passenger flights and started medical cargo after the government of Nepal imposed a lockdown to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic in the country two years ago.
