Kathmandu: To facilitate internal and external tourists, two young people have developed the website ‘My Hotel and Home.com’ for easy hotel booking before traveling to major cities across the country.
You can easily book a hotel of your desired price and level by logging into the website from a mobile phone or computer. Utsav Pathak, Managing Director of Hotel & Home Pvt. Ltd., said that the service can be used to book homestays, hostels, apartments, or even a room in a house.
“It helps the tourist to ensure a safe place to stay before leaving for the trip, easily, hassle-free and eliminates the confusion of not finding a hotel”, said Managing Director Pathak.
It contains an introduction about the hotel, room-wise price, room decoration, bed, furniture, television, Wi-Fi, how many people can sleep, service conditions, toilets, etc.
Software engineer Shailesh Karki, president of Hotel & Home Pvt. Ltd., said that this wave was developed after one and a half years when the culture of e-booking was growing in the fields of railway, air, bank, hospital, etc.
Since it was initially a test, now a ten percent discount is given on online booking. “By looking at many types of hotels, tourists can choose a hotel of the price they want, they can know about the service and conditions of the hotel in a moment”, said President Karki.
So far, three hundred hotels in major tourist cities such as Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Nagarkot, Dhulikhel, Chitwan, Bandipur, Ghandruk, Lumbini, Butwal, Pokhara, Charikot, and others have joined it and this process is continuing, he informed. Pathak and Karki plan to release their apps after the Dashain festival.
Especially during New Year, Christmas, fairs, or big conferences and meetings, it is difficult and difficult to get a room. Domestic and foreign tourists are often worried about how to get accommodation in hotels in major tourist destinations across Nepal.
“We have started this service so that we can get accommodation with one click, it will be convenient for tourists, we are starting a new work for the development of Nepal’s tourism sector”, said President Karki.
