Heliport in Bhaktapur to be constructed

Kathmandu: Nepal government is planning to set up a heliport in Bhaktapur in order to free the Kathmandu airport of helicopters.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), an agreement to this effect has already been signed with the contractors to construct this new heliport at Nalinchok in the eastern part of Bhaktapur near Arniko Highway.
An estimated budget of Rs 250 million has been allocated for the project which will be completed by the end of mid-July 2023.
The heliport is expected to accommodate at least 20 helicopters at one time.
