Foreigners can go to third countries via Nepal

Kathmandu: Foreigners willing to go to third countries can now use Nepal as a transit point.

Nepal’s government banned departure from the Tribhuvan International Airport to third countries on April 26, 2021, as Indian citizens would come to Nepal to make it a transit point to reach Saudi Arabia during the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the ban has been lifted now.

According to government spokesperson and Minister of Communication and Information Technology Gyanendra Karki, the Cabinet meeting held on Monday lifted the ban so that foreign nationals can land in Nepal and go to any third country via Nepal
