The organizer Lomanthang rural municipality has stated that it has set a record by conducting the tournament at the highest place in the world at the golf course of Lovathang.

Earlier, the Yak Golf Course at an altitude of 3,970 meters in Sikkim, India was considered to be the highest golf course. Gandaki State Assemblymember Indradhara Bista said that the golf tournament was successfully completed at the highest place in the world.

“The tournament was conducted with the participation of 36 players”, he said, “We managed to make a record by playing golf at the highest place in the world.”

“Last year, the technical team of the golf game reached Lomathang and inspected the place”, said Tsi Narvu Gurung, chairman of the rural municipality, “.
