Machhapuchhre Base Camp Trek is a new trekking trail in the Annapurna region in Pokhara. The trek covers 13 days that passes through ethnic villages, and green forests lying on the lap of Mt Machhapuchhre.

Pokhara itself is known as the tourist capital of Nepal and a major tourist hub for foreigners to meet their friends from all around the world.

How to reach?

Taking a flight to Pokhara from Kathmandu or taking a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara via highway are the two ways of reaching Pokhara at first.

Then begins the trek from Hemja Milanchok, a short driving distance from Pokhara, to Anante Thati village. From there pass Ribhan village then ascend forward to Khumai ridge towards the Campsite.

From there hike towards Machhapuchhre Base Camp. On a clear day, the summit of Mt. Macchapuchre will be seen clearly. 360-degree views of Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung near the base camp can be seen from here.

Take a descent to Pilicho Camp then to Karuwa and Ghachok alongside the Seti River. Move back to Pokhara via Hamja Milanchok and fly or drive back to Kathmandu for departure to your home country.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (stay in hotel)
Day 2: Flight/drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara
Day 3: Drive from Pokhara to Hemja Milanchok
Day 4: Trek from Anante Thati via Ribhan Village
Day 5: Trek from Lalka to Khumai Danda
Day 6: Trek from Khumai Danda to Campsite
Day 7: Trek from Campsite to Machhapuchhre Base Camp
Day 8: Trek from Machhapuchhre Base Camp to Pilicho Camp
Day 9: Trek from Pilicho Camp to Karuwa
Day 10: Trek from Karuwa to Ghachok
Day 11: Trek from Ghachok to Hamja Milanchok then drive back to Pokhara.
Day 12: Drive/flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu
Day 13: Final departure flight from Kathmandu
