Hotel industry should be on priority of govt says Rana

Kathmandu: The Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) president Shreejana Rana has expressed that the government should consider making the hotel industry a national priority through law.

Addressing a gathering of HAN on Saturday, Rana said that tourism and the hotel industry have contributed substantially to the country’s economy.

The Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Jeevan Ram Shrestha in the same program released the coffee table book ‘Nepal: A Journey from East to West published by the HAN.

He also said the government will leave no stone unturned to promote the tourism and hotel industry during the post-Covid-19 time.

Similarly, while inaugurating the Nepal Hospitality Conclave 2022, organized on the same day in collaboration with Winstalk Asia, State Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office Umesh Shrestha said that the government is considering all possible steps regarding the suggestions put forward by HAN president Rana to promote Hotel and Tourism industry in the country.
