Highest royalty collected from Mt Manaslu expedition
Kathmandu: Nepal government has received the highest royalty from the permits given for Mt Manaslu expeditions in the autumn season this year.
At least Rs 65.9 million in royalty was collected from Mt Manaslu from a total of 31 mountain climbing permits.
According to the latest status unleased by Nepal Tourism Board, a total of 404 people including 307 men and 97 women in 38 teams have been permitted to climb Mt Manaslu.
The government has also collected the next highest royalty of Rs 4.3 million from Himalung mountain climbing permit.
Similarly, Rs 4.3 million in royalty has been collected from Mt Dhaulagiri. After Dhaulagiri, Rs 3.5 million was collected in royalty from the world’s highest peak, Mt Everest.
