Dhampus Peak Climbing in Nepal

Dhampus peak lies between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain massif. It is also called Thapa Peak Climbing.

The enchanting peak rises to the northeast side of the great Dhaulagiri Himalayan Range and northwest of the beautiful Pokhara city.

This peak is most suitable for new climbers looking to gain an adventurous trek. The peak is less technical than other peaks. The climbing is very easy.

So, new beginners can try this peak easily. During this peak, one can come across two passes namely the French Pass at 5360 meters and Dhampus Pass at 5200 meters.

The months of March, May, September, and November are the best months for climbing this peak, though the peak is open for all seasons.

During climbing this peak, thirty different peaks form the summit of the Dhampus trip.

Dhampus peak climbing begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. From Pokhara take a drive to Beni which is the starting point of our trek.

The trail goes through several cultural villages, beautiful valleys, and mountain glaciers. While climbing this peak, you can get a view of Annapurna I, II, III, and IV, Annapurna South, Nilgiri Peak, Tilicho Peak, and other snow-clad peaks.

Our climbing adventure comes to an end with a flight from Jomson to Pokhara and a drive back to Kathmandu.
