Tourists increased in Chitwan Park

Chitwan – Businessmen are excited as the number of tourists visiting Chitwan National Park, the country’s main tourist destination for wildlife viewing, has started to improve.  

Since the beginning of this financial year, Chitwan National Park has been visited by 35,445 tourists in the three months of July, August and October, said Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, Information Officer of the Park, Assistant Conservation Officer.

During this period last fiscal year, a total of 10,718 people visited the park. The number of foreign tourists has also improved this year.

According to the information received from the park, a total of 9,849 people, including Indians and other foreigners, have visited the park in the last three months. Last year, 521 foreigners visited the park in three months.
