Pokhara Int’l Airport for calibration flights from 21 Nov
Kathmandu: Pokhara Regional International Airport has finally entered the testing phase. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Nepal has approved the schedule for the mechanical test flight of Pokhara Regional International Airport from 21st November 2022.
Gyanendra Bhul, the spokesperson of the CAA authority, informed that the ship of Aero Thai company has arrived in Nepal for a mechanical test flight. The ship arrived in Nepal on Sunday. This ship will stay in Nepal until December.
Meanwhile, there will be a calibration flight in Pokhara. Apart from that, he informed that regular test flights will also be carried out by this aircraft to check the equipment of domestic airports across the country.
The government has already decided to start commercial flights at Pokhara International Airport in January 2023.
There should be tests before that. The aircraft of Aero Thai is flying to Bhairahawa and Nepalgunj airports for regular tests from Wednesday.
After the testing of Pokhara airport, Dhangadhi and Tribhuvan international airports will also be regularly tested by this aircraft.
