Air passengers’ number surpasses 10 million

Kathmandu: In the last ten months, the number of air passengers in Nepal has surpassed at least 10 million according to the Civil Aviation Authority (CIAA) of Nepal.
Air passengers data revealed by the CIAA said that a total of 13,391,846 passengers boarded flights from 35 airports across the country including Tribhuvan International Airport and Gautam Buddha International Airport between January and October.
The data further showed that the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) alone had to operate flights of 2.23 million passengers during this period. 1.07 million passengers entered Nepal through the TIA while 1.15 million passengers flew out.
