Thamel gets rid of haphazardly connected wires

Kathmandu. Thamel situated in the heart of the capital city -Kathmandu and famous for being the main tourist destination inside Kathmandu valley has started to remove all the haphazardly connected wires that tarnish the show and beauty of the tourist hub.

All the electricity, cable television, internet, telephone wires, and other useless equipment, and optical fibers are being removed from the center of the Thamel to beautify the Thamel area.

Thamel Development Council said at least 48 trucks full of unorganized wires were taken out during the cleaning of the Thamel area to get rid of such unused and unnecessary wires.
