Pokhara: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachand) is scheduled to inaugurate the formal operation of Pokhara International Airport (PIA) today (Sunday) amidst a huge opening ceremony in Pokhara.
Pokhara Metropolitan City Office has declared a public holiday on Sunday to mark this auspicious occasion of the inaugural opening ceremony.
Director of Pokhara International Airport Bikram Gautam said that several top government leaders will be present on this occasion including Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel and various tourism professionals.
Gautam also divulged that there will be 18-hour daily flights to and from Pokhara International Airport commencing on February 23.
