200,000 Indian tourists visited Nepal in 2022

The NTB arrival data of tourists in 2022, reported that out of the 600,000 tourists who entered Nepal, 200,000 of them were Indian tourists.

This number is said to be 35 percent of the total number. The data includes the tourist’s arrival via air only.

Similarly, the United States ranked second in terms of tourist arrivals. More than 77,000 tourists entered Nepal in 2022 from the USA. This is 14 percent of the total number of tourist arrivals in Nepal.  The third rank relates to Bangladeshi tourists.

The foreign tourist arrival which suddenly decreased soon after the onset of Covid-19 has started decreasing.
