Pokhara’s new airport shuts 3 paragliding zones

Kathmandu: With the operation of Pokhara Regional International Airport recently, at least three paragliding zones around Pokhara have been shut down following orders for the safety of the flights.

Following this, the only paragliding zone left in this region is Madredhunga from now onwards according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal.

However, the Authority said the paragliding in Madredhunga can be operated only between 11 am to 3 pm.

Paragliding in the Pokhara region has been a very popular tourism activity not only for domestic tourists but also for foreign tourists.
