Spanish climber & 6 Sherpas summit Manaslu
Kathmandu: Spanish mountaineer Alex Txikon (Basque) and his 6 Sherpas summited Mt Manaslu successfully from Seven Summit Treks on Friday morning.
The expedition team led by Spanish climber Alex Txikon succeeded in reaching Mt Manaslu, the 8,163 meters high and the eighth-highest mountain in the world despite the harsh weather conditions prevailing in the region due to cold season.
Mt Manalu is considered to be one of the most challenging and technical climbs, well known for its unstable snow and ice. Besides climber Alex Txikon ( main leader) other six sherpas include Tenjen Sherpa (Lama), Pasang Norbu Sherpa, Mingtemba Sherpa, Chhepal Sherpa, Pemba Tasi Sherpa, and Gyalu Sherpa.
