The construction work of ‘Mini Great Wall’ started from Thanimai Temple located in Bandipur Rural Municipality-2 has been completed till now for a distance of 1,300 meters.
Due to its natural scenery and beauty, the construction work has been started as per the plan to build a two kilometer long ‘Mini Great Wall’ in Bandipur, which has gained fame with the nickname ‘Queen of the Mountains’.
The construction of the mini Great Wall has been started to give an impression like that of Great Wall of China. Around 100 domestic and foreign tourists come to visit this great wall daily, but on holidays it is 200 to 300.
There is a legend that Mukundeshwari hill was ruled by the then king Mukunda Sen. The footpath inside the Mini Great Wall can be ridden by horse or bicycle.
Bandipur, which is located between tourist centers like Kathmandu, Pokhara and Sauraha, has great potential to be developed as a tourist destination.
