Kathmandu:The Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has witnessed arrival and departure of at least 3.48 million air passengers from the TIA in the previous year 2022.
This data was revealed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) during a program held recently.
The CAAN data disclosed that as many as one million and 556,811 international passengers arrived at the TIA while one million and 931,517 passengers departed from the TIA from January to December 2022.
The air passengers arriving and departing from the TIA include both domestic as well as foreign passengers.
The ratio of air passengers traveling from and to TIA in 2022 surpassed the percentage of passengers traveling to and from the TIA in the year 2021, when the entire country was afflicted with lethal Covid-19 pandemic.
