Pokhara int’l airport operating night flights from Feb 23.
Kathmandu: The Pokhara Regional International Airport (PRIA) is to start operating night flights from February 23, 2023.
Earlier, the PRIA which started from January 1, 2023 has been operating day flights only and the airport has completed all necessary preparations.
The airport spokesperson Yashoda Subedi informed that the method of flying is based on airport technology known as Instrument Flight Rules technology from Thursday.
Until now, all flights were operated according to the VFR (Visual Flight Rules) technology.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) the airport will be considered eligible for all types of flights once 42 days are passed starting from the day of publication of Aeronautical Information Publication report.
