Patihani: A tourist hub in Chitwan

Kathmandu: Chitwan’s Patihani these days is emerging as one of the tourists hub with the influx of tourists to this place.

Patihani offers not only a fascinating scenic view of various types of animals and birds which tourists love to watch here, but also opportunity for tourists to observe various cultures and traditions of the indigenous communities.

The venue also thrives with sacred Chitamai temple of Tharu community and Kamal Pokhari (pond).

One-horned rhino is the most sought after animal here. The area has also become more appreciable because of various hotels including safari hotels aimed to attract the foreign tourists.

There were hardly 8 hotels prior to 2011, however, now there are 22 hotels with the appropriate accommodation capacity of 10 to 80 beds.

The area also offers organic food and homely environment (home stays) are some of the special features to draw the attention of the tourists.

Patihani is also a venue for Lotus lake where hundreds of people throng to see it.
