Glass Bridge to be built in Bandipur
Kathmandu: A private company is mulling a plan to build a unique Glass Bridge in Bandipur, a hilltop settlement in Tanahu district, in a bid to promote tourism in Bandipur.
Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism Limited’s subsidiary company Skywalk and Bungee Jump aims to construct the uniquely-designed and constructed bridge at the cost of around Rs 1 billion, said Ram Chandra Sharma, Chairperson of the Company.
Works relating to preparing detailed project report (DPR) for the Glass Bridge to be built nearby the under-construction cable car station at Baralthok of Bandipur Rural Municipality-4 have begun.
Those treading the Glass Bridge would feel like climbing atop the cliff, described Sharma, expressing his belief that the Glass Bridge would be a milestone for not only Bandipur but also for Gandaki Province.
Many physical infrastructures such as 17-storey five-star hotel, wax museum and conference building among others are being built to attract tourists and to to prolong their stay in the town known for its verdant forest, high hills and picturesque mountain view from the hilltops.
Bandipur is situated at seven kilometres away from Dumre Bazar along the Prithivi Highway.
