Pasang Dawa Sherpa scales Everest for 26 times

Kathmandu: Nepali climber Pasang Dawa Sherpa scaled Everest 26 times on May 14, Sunday, and equaled the world record with Kami Rita Sherpa for most Everest summits.

Pasang climbed Everest at around 9 am today. Meanwhile, Kami Rita is also reported to be on Everest aiming to make it 27 times.

Pasang is a mountain guide working for Imagine Nepal and was successful in the Everest summit after routes were fixed to summit Everest on Saturday.

Nepal’s government in this spring season has given expedition permits to around 500 climbers and most of them are on Everest this spring season.
