Nepal Army team scales Everest

Kathmandu: Nepal army’s mountain cleaning campaign team scaled the highest peak Mt Everest on Monday at around 10 am.

The army team led by Colonel Kishor Adhikari along with Sherpa climbers who reached the top of Everest included Captain Dipendra Singh Khatri, Capt Bishnu Bal Rai, Jawan Kishor Jabegu, and Shankar Kuwar according to Ang Babu Sherpa, Managing Director at Peak Promotion Pvt Ltd.

The army team achieved this remarkable feat while engaging in the Everest clean-up campaign.

The army personnel team was accompanied by Sherpa guides such as  Ongchhu Sherpa from Bhojpur, Phurba Sherpa, Lakpa Sherpa, and Phurba Dorchi Sherpa from Sankhuwasabha who all also stepped on the top of Mt Everest along with the army team members.

The team is also planning to scale Mt Lhotse in the next one or two days.
