43,000 tourists visited Mustang in five months

Kathmandu: Over 43000 tourists have visited the hidden Himalayan district Mustang in the last five months.

According to tourist arrival data released by the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) Mustang, the increased number of foreign tourists visited Mustang in between January 2023 to end of May.

Of the total 43000 tourists 4,878 sought permission to travel to the Annapurna Circuit via Thorang La Pass to Mustang.  This number is more as compared to the number of tourists who arrived in Mustang in the corresponding past year.

These tourists have visited tourist areas such as Mustang, Jomsom, Muktinath and Lomanthang.
