China allows Nepali pilgrims to visit Mansarovar
Kathmandu: Pilgrimage for Nepalese to Mansarovar Yatra has been opened after three years.
The Chinese government officially lifted the earlier restrictions and permitted the opening of the Mansarovar Yatra once again which is religiously considered sacred.
Nepali tourism professionals have also confirmed it. However, the Mansarovar yatra is not yet permitted for the Indian pilgrims and tourists to pass through Nepal to reach Mansarovar according to Binod Sapkota, who is General Secretary of the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN).
May to September is considered to be best season for this pilgrimage.
Earlier, China had allowed Indian pilgrims to embark on the Mansarovar yatro by travelling through Nepal, but not this time. Interested Nepali pilgrims can also do so via Hisla in Humla and Rasuwagadhi in Rasuwa.
