Dawa Yangjun Sherpa summits Nanga Parbat

Kathmandu:Nepal’s female climber Dawa Yangjun Sherpa has climbed Nanga Parbat which is the ninth highest mountain above 8,000 meters. Its height is 8,126 meters.

Sherpa is also famous as an international mountain guide. She was born in Dolkha in 1990. She had vanquished  Yala Peak in 2009 and she had climbed Mt Everest in 2012.

Sherpa is also the firstNepali female climber to scale Mt Makalu. She managed to climb Mt K2 in 2014. She had set her foot atop Mt Manaslu in 2021.
