11 climbers summit 12th Highest peak

Kathmandu: At least 11 climbers collectively scaled the world’s 12th highest peak -Broad Peak (8951m) in Karakorum this morning, July 23, 2023.

The Seven Summit Treks officials informed that with this ascent, Kristin.Harila and Tenjen Sherpa succeeded to climb 13 eight-thousand-meter peaks out of 14 as planned by them.

Climber Kristin is already set to complete her project of climbing the 14 peaks above 8000meters along with Sherpa Tenjen in the fastest time to break the already established world record by Nirmal Purja of Nepal who served in the British army as soldier.

Kristin now has left only to vanquish one peak and that is K2 located in Pakistan after which she will be acclaimed as the new world record holder for conquering the world’s 14 peaks above 8000meters in the shortest and fastest time.

Likewise, Nima Rinji Sherpa is on his expedition mission to scale all 14 peaks above 8000m in his teen age to become the youngest to climb all 14 highest peaks above 8000 m. He has already scaled the 7th 8000er by climbing the Broad Peak along with Pasang Nurbu.
