First Nepali to ski down from Manaslu peak
Kathmandu: Famous mountain guide Tshering Pande Bhote has become the first Nepali climber to ski down the top of a mountain after climbing Mt Manaslu which is elevated at a height of 8161m.
Tshering (45) who is a certified mountain guide, who hails from Sankhuwasabha district, scaled the eight highest mountain peak on 21 September 2023 according to the Seven Summit Treks.
He was the first Nepali to receive a mountain guide license from New Zealand Mountain Guides Association (NZMGA) and the Nepal National Mountain Guides Association (NNMGA).
He had started his mountain guide career in 1996 and has been succesful in climbing other higher mountains including Everest, Cho Oyu, Shishapangma, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Makalu and Lhotse.
