Manang helicopter crashes, captain injured

Kathmandu: Manag helicopter 9 N-ANJ has crashed near Lobuche in the Everest region, while on a rescue mission on Otober 14, 2023 according to the Manag Air sources.

Senior captain Prakash Sedhain is being airlifted to National Burns Centre in Mumbai in India on Sunday for medical treatment after being referred by HAMS hospital in Kathmandu, where he was rushed immediatly after the incident.

The Manang chopper crashed on Saturday morning at around 7 am while operating rescue flight from Lukla to Lobuche in Solukhumbu to rescue foreign trekkers.

CAAN Suspends the AOC of Manang Air

Meanwhile,  the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has suspended the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) of Manang air, citing recurring accidents of helicopters operated by Manang air.
