Nijgadh Int’l Airport construction in the offing

Kathmandu: Nijgadh International Airport rife with much controversy in the past is in the offing after the Nepal government decided to proceed with the construction of the airport which remained pending for a long time according to government sources.

The government is reported to have already instructed the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation to carry out the assignment of implementation as per the reports of expert groups on the construction of the airport.

The construction of the airport is expected to incur an overall cost of nearly USD 1.2 billion and more revenue will be generated from the regular flights taking place from this airport.
