A glimpse of Kailash Mansarovar from above
Kathmandu: Mountain flights from Nepalgunj have started to be operated to enable tourists to have a glimpse of Mount Kailash and Mansarovar Lake.
A test flight was operated by Shree Airlines wherein 38 Indians who arrived from various parts of India were made to have a glimpse of Mount Kailash and Mansarovar lake from a height of about 27,000 feet.
This test which takes 75 minute flight has opened a new avenue for Nepali tourism stakeholders according to the tourism operators.
Every year more than 12000 tourists visit Mount Kailash and Mansarovar Lake for religious purposes.
