Manang: Tilicho Lake is known not only in the tourism sector but also by almost everyone who is interested in the lake.

It is the highest lake in the world. Located in Manang district, thousands of tourists from all over the world visit this lake every year.

Tilocho Lake is a major tourist destination not only for foreign but also for domestic tourists. By profession I am a tourism entrepreneur.

The unique gift of nature feels fresh no matter how many times you visit Tilicho. Tilicho Lake is the place to go. It is impossible to describe the geography, the experience of traveling, and the joy of reaching the lake.

Last month I had the opportunity to reach Tilicho Lake. This time when we reached Tilicho, the lake was covered with snow like a white trail. Of course, before this I have had the opportunity to see different forms of the lake.

But no matter how much you look at it, it the thirst to see it doesn’t get quenched. On the first day of Tilicho’s journey, one can reach Chame of Manang from Kathmandu.

On the first day, we set out on a jeep ride in the morning. We reached Chame at night and stayed there. On the second day you can reach Khadsar from Manang, then the base camp.

After reaching Tilicho, the journey back to Kathmandu can be arranged. It is sometimes difficult to get to the heights as there is a possibility of altitude sickness.

The lake is 4 kilometers long, 1.2 kilometers wide and 200 meters deep. It is located between Tilicho, Nilgiri, Khangsar and Muktinath Himal. Lake Tilicho is said to be the highest in the world at 1,107 meters higher than Lake Titika on the border of Peru and Bolivia in South America.
