Bhaktapur observes Pancha Dan festival

Kathmandu: The local inhabitants of Bhaktapur have solemnly observed their Buddhist festival known as Pancha Dan according to the Buddhist traditions.

The festival of Pancha Dang is observed by giving away five elements  including wheat, grains, rice grains, salt, fruit and money and playing traditional music and worshipping the Lord Buddha’s statue.

This is one of the ancient and typical Buddhist tradition and festival. Tourists usually throng to observe the ongoing festival activities and peoples celebrating spree.
