Dhulikhel is a small beautiful town 30 km south-west of Kathmandu at an altitude of 1,550 meters. The place is inhabited by various groups such as Bhramin, Tamangs, Chhetris, Dalits, and mostly Newari people. Dhulikhel is rich culturally and naturally.

The trek starts from Dhulikhel and ends at Panauti. You are definitely going to love the walk-in Hajar Sidi (Thousands step) inside the jungle, Buddhist statue smiling at you on the way, and the panoramic views of different mountains like Mt. Everest, Gauri Shanker, Melungtse, Number, Dorje Lakpa, Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himalayan range, and Rolwaling Himalayan range from atop hill of Dhulikhel.

There you can visit old houses built in Newari architecture, various temples and enjoy the Newari culture and cuisine. From Panauti you will drive back to the Kathmandu.
