Malaysian king wishes to see Mt Everest

Kathmandu: Malaysian king Al-Sultan Abdullah has expressed his wistful desire to see Mt Everest-the highest peak- in the world.

King Abdullah’s wishes were expressed during a ceremony organized in honor of the newly appointed ambassador of Nepal to Malaysia Dilli Raj Paudel, who presented his credentials to the Malaysian king at the Royal Palace in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.

The Malaysian king also discussed the bilateral relations between Nepal and Malaysia during the meeting. Tourism operators believe that the Malaysian king’s visit to Nepal in the future to see Mt Everest will further promote the publicity about Nepal and tourism prospects.
